Dear Senator Lisa Murkowski, An Open Letter
If you’ve been following Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” you’re probably aware it was approved today by US Congress with a 51-50 vote, with VP Vance breaking the tie. And if you think the bill really is “beautiful,” check out this article in the NY Times where claims made by Trump and GOP MAGAts get factchecked.
The Daily Beast, among others, have published comments from Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski criticizing the bill immediately after voting in favor of it.
Murkowski told reporters that her “hope is that the House is going to look at this and recognize that we’re not there yet.”
WTF? That’s like me not editing something and handing it off to the next person to fix all the mistakes. Publishers hire me to review work and make it ready to publish. The public ‘hired’ her to make good decisions, and she’s just passing the responsibility on to someone else. In the real world, she’d be fired.
Alaska — impeach Lisa Murkowski and get someone else in the job who can actually do the job.
So, yeah. I wrote a letter to US Senator for Alaska Lisa Murkowski. I wrote:
Disgusting how you voted for the bill and expect someone else to clean up your mess. Your job is to represent the people, not pass the buck to someone else. I hope Alaska votes someone else in on the next election. Let someone else do the job you’re afraid to do.
Overall…
I’m mad that elected officials feel the need to bow down to the king, especially since we don’t have kings in the US.
